Group decision-making in the field of Public Health
Gerad invites you to be part of a workshop seminar that will address the importance of decision-making in the public health sector.

We will have Quantin Hayez, CEO of D-Sight, as a guest speaker to share with the audience the latest advancements on group decision-making and how it influences the Public Health sector.

If you want to be on top of the latest technologies and trends that are influencing the sector, this is the right event.

About the speakers:

Quantin Hayez
Since February 2010, Quantin Hayez has been the main driver of D-Sight, a spin-off company of the University of Brussels, that develops innovative decision-making technology, which improve the way decisions are made. He developed the D-Sight Desktop software while being a Researcher at the University of Brussels (ULB). He has been recognized several times for his entrepreneurial spirit, and D-Sight already got awarded and selected to be present at top-level entrepreneurship and innovation events.

Jean-Philippe Waaub
Since 1993, Jean-Philippe Waaub is Professor (Full professor, since 1999) at the Geography Department, University of Quebec in Montreal. He is directing the Interdisciplinary Research Group in Geography and Regional Environment (GEIGER, UQAM) and the Group for Research in Decision Analysis (GERAD: HEC, Polytechnique, McGill, UQAM). He is Co-director of the Energy Environment Team at GERAD (E2G). His research in Quebec, Canada, Europe and Africa deals with Strategic environmental assessment (SEA), multicriteria and multi stakeholder decision aid tools and modeling of industrial systems related to climate change.
 
Pascal Michel
Pascal Michel completed his Doctoral degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1987 (U. Montreal), a Master in Preventive Veterinary Medicine (California, USA, 1992) and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology (U of Guelph, 1997). Since 2000, he is leading the program on Populations and the Environment at the Public Health Agency of Canada (Laboratory for Foodborne Zoonoses) and since the spring 2012 the program on Science to Policy 
from the same organisation.  He concurrently holds a position of adjunct professor at the department of microbiology and pathology of the veterinary college of the University  of MontrĂ©al as well as other academic affiliations (U. Laval, U. Sherbrooke, U. Guelph).
